The stained glass windows at St. Mary's Cathedral complement the structure's Late Gothic Revival style which is a product of the nineteenth century architectural and religious acknowledgement of our Western Medieval heritage.

Unusual in the unity of their design, the windows in the Cathedral's nave, transept and sanctuary are the work of Len R. Howard of Kent, Connecticut.

A native of England, the artist studied in London at the Camberwell Arts and Crafts School and St. Martin's School; in Boston at the Copley Society; and in New York at the Pratt Institute and the Art Students League. Other Howard windows are in churches in both England and the United States.
