At the cathedral since: 2004

Where I grew up: Army brat, reared mostly in Memphis

Schools: BA in English, University of Memphis

Important transformations in my life: When I told my girlfriend that I wanted to quit my job and she said that she would follow me anywhere (we got married the next year).

Books on my nightstand: The New Christians: Dispatches from the Emergent Frontier, by Tony Jones; Anathem, by Neal Stephenson.

I am part of St. Mary's because: At first, because my wife liked it. Then I reasoned that I would be better serving the Episcopal Church by offering that service to my diocesan cathedral (it's a big cathedral that's home to a mid-sized parish).

Something my fellow Cathedralites don't know about me (yet): I can eat 7 lbs of ham in one sitting.
