Pastoral Care
Pastoral care is a ministry of St. Mary's Cathedral in which people offer help and caring to others in our church and our wider community. Clergy and lay people help this important ministry thrive through different groups and services.
Our Pastoral Care Team, headed by Canon Pastor, Laura F. Gettys, shares their gifts through “holy touches” by meals, visits, cards, phone calls, flowers, transportation and other ways. A fantastic way to join a small group and meet new people. Enrichment workshops take place through the year and trainings are in the Fall and the Spring.
Home Communion Visitors (LEVs) – Deacon Drew Woodruff and Canon Laura F. Gettys. Members take communion to members of the Cathedral who cannot be with us during services. An awesome way to connect and share in the Sacrament with others. (Trainings are typically two times a year)
