Music at St. Mary's
Music at St. Mary’s: Resounding Art in a Sacred Space is the cathedral’s donor-supported professional concert series. Programs on this series are as varied and funky as the city of Memphis itself, ranging from the Grammy Award-winning Gospel quartet The Fairfield Four to the renowned Choir of Trinity College Cambridge (UK). Crucial to this ministry is the fact that all of our programs are entirely free and open to the public, and you can count on a fantastic reception and free childcare at every program. Third Annual Lenten Organ Recital
Back by popular demand! St. Mary’s Canon Organist/ Choirmaster will perform his third Lenten organ recital at St. Mary’s. This program will feature two rarely-performed French organ symphonies, Marcel Dupré’s Symphonie Passion and Louis Vierne’s Symphony No. 2, both of which will beautifully exploit the many colors of the St. Mary’s
pipe organ. On this eve of Holy Week, come and bask in the beauty and majesty of two great masterpieces for the pipe organ.
