PALM SUNDAY April 14th
Eucharist at 8 & 11 a.m.
Enter Holy Week through prayers, palm branches, haunting music and dramatic reading. Come and be touched by beauty and tragedy.
Passover Seder 9:30 a.m. in Martyrs’ Hall. Guided by a leader from the Jewish faith, join us in an ancient ritual and meal as we remember the nights of Passover.
Parade 10:40 a.m. with donkey and singing begins in Martyrs’ Hall courtyard
Hospitality hour in Martyrs’ Hall, immediately following the 11 a.m. service. Enjoy hot cross buns to break our Lenten fast.
WEDNESDAY, April 17th
Blues Eucharist 8 a.m. in the Sisters’ Chapel
Worship with us as we go more deeply into this tender time of Jesus.
Community Breakfast 9 a.m.
MAUNDY THURSDAY April 18th
Eucharist 6 p.m. Deacon Drew Woodruff, Preacher
Following the commandment mandatum, we gather in tender and somber liturgy commemorating the last supper with Eucharist and washing of feet. We conclude with the congregation joining in the stripping of the altar and end in darkness. Nursery available from 5:30 p.m.
GOOD FRIDAY April 19th
Eucharist 12 noon Bishop-Elect Phoebe Roaf, Preacher Through stirring music, the passion story, prayers and the veneration of the cross, we focus on Christ’s crucifixion. Stations of the cross will immediately follow the service.
HOLY SATURDAY April 20th
Easter Vigil 6 p.m. The first Eucharist of Easter 2019! We begin by lighting the Paschal fire. We share in ancient read- ings of hope and sing beautiful hymns together. The service concludes with an Easter celebration in Martyrs’ Hall. Nursery available from 5:30 p.m.
EASTER SUNDAY April 21st
8 a.m. Eucharist Rite I with hymns Bishop-Elect Phoebe Roaf, Preacher
9 a.m. Sweet Mary’s community breakfast in Martyrs’ Hall 9:15 a.m. Brunch in Undercroft
10:30 a.m. Easter egg hunt in the courtyards
11 a.m. Festive Eucharist Bishop Don Johnson, Preacher
