Polish the Pulpit with the Altar Guild

As we prepare our hearts for Advent and Christmas, the Altar Guild will prepare the Cathedral when we Polish the Pulpit on Saturday, Nov 23rd 9 am -12 pm. All are welcome to help prepare the altar for these holy seasons. Cleaning supplies will provided.

Hospitality Hour: Practicing for Christmas “Pop day” with Elvis’s Blue Christmas, Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree and others made popular by Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole and Dean Martin!

* Practicing for Christmas Advent is a period of preparation for the birth of Christ. The hymns sung during the 11 a.m. Eucharist tell of the coming as told by the shepherd’s stories and the songs sung by the Angels. Yet, all around us Christmas carols and Yuletide is already in full celebration mode. We are adding a 10-minute musical portion to the Social time in Martyrs’ Hall following the 11 a.m. Eucharist to bring some early Christmas tidings into Advent time at the cathedral.
